Not able to close my account with [PERSON_NAME].
I'm not able to close my account with PayPal because I can't contact customer service. Their 'contact us' system was useless since I was never able to contact anyone after numerous tries. Their 'chat' system was no help as well.
Preferred solution: I would like to reach customer service to cancel my PayPal account.

A few years back, My paypal account was hacked or subject to fraudulent use and paypal customer services were simply uninterested . I wouldnt use thave now left Paypal(if my account has been deleted )

Made a phone call earlier with the Parranthen agent customer service. He was rude in his tone and lacked communication and compassion towards my financial situation. Now, thanks to him, I am under more stress as he said maybe I would be able to move the payment; call back on 3rd July! All I wanted was to settle the outstanding bill from my credit card, but this is not working as I changed jobs and the payment date has changed.
I asked to speak to a manager, and he said at this time no. What for?
I am very disappointed and stressed!
Once I settle the issue, I will shut the account.

Used to be good but now endless problems
- - PayPal delays payments and uses verification codes, even for small orders; removing a Persian carpet design item let the rest go through.
I've had many problems with PayPal delaying and knocking back payments when I'm trying to place orders, and too many instances of wanting to verify who I am by sending codes and similar nonsense - even for small amounts.
I recently had problems with PayPal refusing to process orders from Redbubble in particular. Not the first time it has happened, but I've managed to fight my way past in the end.
But this time however it was more problematic. I became suspicious and eventually worked out that one of the things I was trying to buy seemed to be the cause of the blocked payments. When I removed the item, the payment for the rest went through. As this item was something that I had designed and uploaded to Redbubble, I went in and edited the listing to remove such words as "Persian" "Middle East" and "Turkish" from the title and tags.
I saved and re-ordered - the order went through!
I am furious. How dare they block payments on the grounds of culture and politics, especially as this was nothing more than a Persian carpet design item.
This aside, PayPal has made it almost impossible to contact them. Their customer support messaging thing is now run fully by AI. It's useless.
The last time I tried I eventually managed to get through to a human being by typing in "agent" repeatedly. This time however it stated that an agent would be available in a few hours and an e-mail would be sent when they were available!
Of course the e-mail never came.
I tried to complain through their site. The complaint failed to process, and came up with some stupid error message, and when I went back everything I had entered had gone.
They don't respond to social media.
I've had enough of PayPal.

Finally this problem has been resolved Pay Pal at last made contact by phone with me after three weeks. If it had not been for Pissed Off that would not have happened.
Pay Pal have updated my new phone number by phone that took a gruelling 20 mins to do.
My advice to any Pay Pal customeris Make sure you update your new phone number before you switch. the consequences of not doing it are disastrous.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I didn't have a problem. Rather I congratulated PayPal on swiftly answering a question and giving assurance that no money had been fraudulently taken from my account.
I received an invoice for $99.99 which struck me as suspicious (I am in UK). I didnt click any link or call the given telephone number.
Instead I contacted PayPal and had an online chat with an agent. He was helpful, understanding and reassuring. He checked my account and confirmed no money had been taken nor would be.
Swift and efficient service. Thanks PayPal.
